How to Do Your Makeup Like Rihanna

Rihanna Makeup Look
Rihanna knows how to balance her fiery-red hair with subtle-yet-glamorous makeup. Makeup artist Lina Hanson gives you the steps to perfect this stunning look at home.

Use a foundation brush to apply a liquid foundation all over the face and neck. Apply concealer using a concealer brush, focusing underneath the eyes and over any imperfections. A brush will give you precise application and ensure less product waste. However, be sure to blend well in order to avoid streaks.

To create Rihanna's sexy eye makeup, use a medium-sized shadow brush and apply a shimmery bronze/taupe loose shadow over the lids, blending the color up to the crease.

Next, use a slightly lighter shimmer shadow and dust it on the inside corner of the eye. This will open up your peepers and brighten the entire look.

With a black eye pencil, gently line the eyes, concentrating on the upper lash line and the inner rim. Repeat this process 2-3 times until you have achieved the desired depth and intensity.

Curl the lashes and apply several coats of black mascara to both the upper and lower lashes.

Apply a warm peach-colored powder blush to the apples of the cheeks and blend well.

Before you apply any lipstick, moisturize the lips with a balm. Dab a light coat of concealer onto your lips to neutralize your natural lip color. Next, take a nude lipstick and apply it with a thin lip brush. Finish the lips by dabbing on a clear gloss with your fingers.

Finish the look by sweeping a shimmery bronzer onto the cheeks for an irresistible glow.

You know you can always use a cream eyeshadow first. Then apply powder after. It makes the color pop even more that way! This comment has been removed.

If you use loose eyeshadow, you can actually make your own primer! Just mix water and glycerin (forgot the proportions...easy to google up online) and you can get your own primer for wayyyy cheap :) This comment has been removed.

I'm not really a big fan of the Urban Decay primer packaging...I used to get it and found that I could never get the rest of the product out at the bottom where the brush can't reach it :( This comment has been removed.
