Rachel Bilson is my latest “Fall Favorite” in terms of wearing this season’s upcoming trends. Last week, the “Hart of Dixie” star attended the CBS, CW, Showtime 2012 Summer TCA Party wearing a Malene Birger peplum blouse along with black Alexander McQueen trousers and nude stiletto pumps. While the look was predominantly menswear-inspired, there were delicate traces of femininity in Bilson’s outfit found in the soft fabric of her blouse, its peplum shape, nude heels and finally pink lips. These ladylike details were then paired with an edgy updo, smokey eye makeup and slouchy trousers. Bilson’s style could easily be described as Kate Middleton meets Gwen Stefani. Polished, yet boundary-pushing at the same time.
