Natalie Portman was positively glowing at the 2011 Academy Awards, and it wasn’t just from her pregnancy. She showed off her baby bump in a beautiful, violet Rodarte gown. The A-list star went on to win the highly coveted Best Actress award, for her role in Black Swan. Find out how to capture Natalie’s winning look for yourself.

Natalie has the kind of flawless skin that makes most girls sigh with envy. The first step to getting her glammed-up look is to prep the skin with a hydrating serum. Next, use a foundation brush to apply a lightweight foundation to the entire face, blending well into the neck. Even out the complexion by patting concealer underneath the eyes, and on any redness or imperfections. Set the product with a sweep of sheer, pressed powder.

To achieve Natalie’s sultry eye look, begin by sweeping a gold shade across the entire eyelid. Smudge the color along the lower lash line, and in the inside corners of the eyes. Next, use a purple shade on the outer half of the eye, blending with your finger or a Q-Tip. Also smudge a bit of this shade along the lower lash line, starting at the outer corner, and stopping when you reach the halfway point. This will give you a cool, two-toned smoky eye effect. Finish the look by sweeping a shimmering pink shade in the crease of the eyes, and applying two coats of waterproof mascara.

Flushed cheeks and a glossy pout gave Natalie a flattering feminine vibe. Use a blush brush to apply a peachy-pink shade to the apples of the cheeks, and sweep the color up toward the temples. Coat the lips with a pink lipstick, and go over them with a gloss in a similar shade.

Natalie’s side-swept hairstyle was the perfect sophisticated look for an Oscar winner. Spray wet hair with an anti-frizz product, and blow dry using a round brush. Curl the hair, using a one-inch curling iron to create soft waves. Take the bottom layers and backcomb them, to create volume and stability for the hairstyle. Pull all of the hair to one side (Natalie’s hair was to the left), and secure with bobby pins. Add some flair with a sparkly accessory, cleverly fastened to hide the pins. Mist the hair with a firm-hold hairspray, to lock the look in place.
