How to Do Your Hair and Makeup Like Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovavich_
Academy Award presenter, Milla Jovovich, channeled Old Hollywood in a white Elie Saab design. The one-shoulder gown showed this starlet’s enviable curves. The look was complimented with a delicate side updo and a vibrant pop of red color in the lips. Channel your own Old Hollywood diva with these tips.

Milla’s makeup was exquisitely composed to bring attention to her flirty eyes. Prep your face with a primer and follow with a liquid foundation applied all over the face and neck. Use a concealer to cover up any blemishes or redness. Dust a translucent powder over the face; the key to old Hollywood is a matte, porcelain face. Use a pink-colored blush and apply it to the apples of the cheeks.

To create Milla’s flirty peepers, line the top lash line with a dark brown gel liner. Build the thickness of the line as you move to the outer corners. Take that same liner and line the outermost corner of the lower lash line (only line a quarter of the way in from the corner). Take a warm, light copper-brown eyeshadow and apply it all over the top lid and crease. Use the same shadow to line the lower lash line, from the inner corner to the outer. Frame the eyes by filling in the brows with a natural-looking color. You may use a brow pencil or a matte eyeshadow for a more natural look. Apply a highlighting shadow to the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye. For the final touch, use a strip of false lashes on the top lid to add drama to the eyes. Curl lashes and apply two coats of black mascara.

Give your face a pop of color with a matte red lipstick. Keep color in place by using a lip liner and a concealer to clean up any mistakes. Expert tip: if you want the ultra-matte effect like Milla’s, take a tissue paper and place it over your mouth, and then lightly dust a translucent powder over the tissue paper.

Achieve Milla’s sophisticated updo by working with day-old hair (wash it the day-before, but not the day-of your event). Part the hair on one side and use a one-inch curling iron to curl one-inch sections of hair, starting at the roots. Once your whole head of hair is curled, gently gather the hair on the opposite side of the part and secure with an elastic. Leave some strands loose to give the hairstyle an undone elegance. Use bobby pins that match your natural hair color and pin the curled strands into the hair by twisting them into the nape. Keep the strands in place by misting hair with an extra-hold hairspray.

Her gorgeous! I like that she's always got that signature look of hers, and she pulls off the red lips really well! This comment has been removed.
There's no question she's a stunner, but I feel like this hair and makeup is just always what she does. I'd like to see a little variety. This comment has been removed.
I would've liked more "smokiness" to her eyes. They're such a pretty color she should've brought more attention to them. This comment has been removed.
Sorry to say, but I really don't like this look, to be honest. I think the pink cheeks and red lips made her look clownish. Her hair and dress were okay but i think she'd look better with long hair. This comment has been removed.
I love her lips. She looks very glamorous! This comment has been removed.
