Learn How to Do Your Makeup Like Mary Kate and Ashley

From child superstars to fashion powerhouses, the Olsen twins, Mary Kate and Ashley, have become a stylish duo to be reckoned with. It’s no surprise that they have a similar beauty look; their identical features are best enhanced by the same makeup tricks and techniques. Find out how to get the look of your favorite twin.

Start by giving yourself a flawless complexion. Mix one of your favorite liquid foundations with just a drop of luminizing liquid, such as the one by BECCA. Apply this mixture to the entire face, blending well into the neck. Next, use a big, fluffy, kabuki brush to apply a soft bronzer (like Halo Glow from Smashbox) to the hollows of the cheeks. Also lightly run the brush along the edge of the forehead, the temples, and below the jawline. This will create a sun-kissed look, and will also contour your face to make it look thinner. Apply a bit of cream blush to the apples of the cheeks, and follow it with a hint of highlighting powder. Dab some of the highlighter on the center of the chin and forehead as well.

The twins kept their pretty peepers fairly simple. Dip a pencil lining brush into the gel liner of your choice and proceed to line the lower lash line. Use the brush to line the underside of your upper lash line as well (a technique known as tightlining). Smudge the liner ever so slightly underneath the eye to create a smoky effect. Curl your lashes and apply two coats of mascara to both the top and bottom lashes, for a wide-eyed look.

Though we rarely seen the twins flashing any teeth, their smiles are nonetheless gorgeous because of their nice, full lips. For this look, a simple nude, creamy lipstick is all you need to prettify your pout.

Mary Kate recently dyed her locks a chocolate-brown color, making it much easier for us to tell the difference between the two accomplished young women. To get her sleek hairdo, simply part hair down the middle and proceed to flat iron in two-inch sections, until the entire length of your hair is pin-straight. Apply a liberal coat of shine spray to get a glossy look.

For Ashley’s polished, low bun, begin by parting hair straight down the center. Gather your tresses into a low ponytail, and then twist the hair as you spiral it around into a tight bun. Secure in place with bobby pins that match your hair color. Spritz hair with a good setting spray to make sure the style lasts.

The Olsen twins have proven themselves worthy of style-icon status. Whose look do you like best?

Their skin looks so dewy....must be that luminizing liquid. Very pretty! This comment has been removed.
I love the idea of mixing foundation and a luminizing liquid! Genius! And yes please smile. Not sure what's up with that rule of theirs. Scared of smile lines? This comment has been removed.
Their skin looks really dewy and fresh, but I wish they'd smile! This comment has been removed.
