It must be nice to look like you stepped right off an Orange County beach, only to have Brody Jenner or some other of-the-moment hottie run his hands through it when you're in the mood. Where do we sign up for our own reality show? And how can you make Lauren Conrad's hair your own?

To get Lauren Conrad inspired hairstyle ,  you've got to think like The Hills star, not neccessarily copy her tit-for-tat. Don't take yourself too seriously. Have fun. Never let the critics get you down.

Some of Lauren's best hairstyles on the show have been her most playful: a low ponytail, Rapunzel-esque waves, a strategically messy updo. To get the look shown at left, pin a few strands of hair that reside just above you ears to the crown of your head with a few ouchless bobby pins (tuck them underneath the hair). Pull a few strands out from the 'do to frame your face. If your hair isn't naturally wavy, steal this look by using a wide barrel curling iron. Wrap a few 4-inch wide sections of hair around it, hold for a few seconds and let it the pieces fall where they may.

Minimalist is her siganture look, so take off one accessory before you leave the house...make the necklace your statement piece, or your hair accessory, but not both...less is more.
