Learn How to Do Your Makeup Like Kristen Stewart

kristen_stewart
Kristen Stewart is well-known for her no-frills attitude. This laid-back chick is all about comfort, but she knows how to step up her makeup for a red carpet. Her minimalist look is accented with her signature smoky eye. Find out how to get Kristen’s look for yourself.

Kristen has gorgeous green eyes, and she uses her makeup to emphasize them well. For this look, you’ll want to complete the eye makeup before applying foundation to the skin. This way, you won’t need to “clean up” the skin afterwards, if any eye makeup falls or smears.

EYES

Kristen’s smoldering stare begins with a taupe, rose-shimmer shadow on the eyelids. Gently brush the shadow up to the crease. Repeat the application, and blend well. Using the same shadow, smudge a line along the lower lash line, and blend it to the outer corner of the eye.

Add drama to the look with black liner. Using a black eye pencil, draw a line across the upper eye lid, as close to the lash line as possible, moving all the way from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye. Use the same pencil to line the inside rim of the lower lash line, and smudge it out with your fingertip or a Q-Tip. Take the time to curl your lashes, and apply several coats of black volumizing mascara to both the upper and lower lashes.

Use a cleansing wipe to carefully remove any excess makeup from underneath the eyes before beginning the face makeup.

FACE

Kristen is one of the lucky few with naturally clear skin. Fake a similar look by applying a liquid foundation to the face, using your fingers or a damp sponge. Blend the product well, and then apply a concealer underneath the eyes, and on any imperfections.

Finish this makeup application with subtle, neutral coloring, in line with Kristen’s understated look. Sweep a rose-blush powder onto the apples of your cheeks using a powder brush. Take some translucent powder, and do one final pass over the forehead, chin, and nose, to avoid excess shine.

LIPS

Use a lip brush to apply a rose-colored lipstick.
