Learn How to Do Your Makeup Like Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian showed her golden girl attributes in a Kaufman Franco gown on the 2011 Grammys red carpet. In addition to flaunting her famous curves, Kim looked amazing in her signature smoky eye makeup and bombshell waves.

So, how does Kim always have a flawless face? An easy trick is to apply a moisturizing serum, and let it absorb into the skin before applying makeup. A moisturized face will always be the best canvas for a perfect makeup look. Once the product has been fully absorbed, prime the face with a silicone-based makeup primer (Kim is a fan of HD Make Up For Ever Face Primer). Next, apply a liquid foundation in a shade that matches your skin tone. Use a brush to blend product into the skin, making sure to cover the jaw line and neck. Add a peachy blush to the apples of the cheeks. Take a shimmering bronzer and apply it to the hollows of the cheeks, sweeping it up to the temples. This last step will make you look like you have just returned from a Kardashian-like vacation to an exotic Caribbean island. Set the face makeup with a translucent powder, to ensure that makeup stays put throughout the evening.

Something that was not missing from Kim’s look was drama. Kim’s eye makeup starts with gold shadow applied all over the lid. Take a bronze-brown shade and apply it to the crease of the eyes. Follow with a gold shadow, applying it on the lower lash line. Take a rich, black gel or kohl liner and line the top and bottom lash lines. Bring the drama with a full set of long, false lashes. Be sure to make lashes look natural by adding a coat of mascara.

Finish your makeup look with Kim’s signature apricot lip color and clear lip gloss.

Kim’s hair screams bombshell, a look that can be achieved by adding hair extensions for both length and volume. Hair extensions that are heat resistant are ideal. Mist hair with a heat protectant spray that also provides a shine boost. Take a two-inch curling iron and curl two-inch pieces of hair away from the face, stopping the curling iron at about the same height as your ear. Kim gave dimension to her espresso locks by adding individual strands of gold hair. Finish off the look with a light-hold hairspray, to keep hair in place.
