Katherine Heigl is Hollywood's go-to gal for funny with a side of pretty (or is it pretty with a side of funny?). While it's difficult to keep up with hair color choices, her classic makeup look can be achieved with minimal effort. We've got a few ace tricks and tips for copying Katherine Heigl's makeup, which take its cues from Old Hollywood. Or try on a Heigl-inspired makeup look in our virtual makeup studio.
Apply powder foundation to hydrated skin with a fluffy kabuki brush for a sheer, even finish that's most natural. A powder foundation will keep shine at bay and help you tone down redness around the nose, eyes and mouth without looking too made up. Sweep rose colored blush (also in powder form) to the apples of your cheeks to achieve a Katherine Heigl-esque glow. Just above the apples of the cheeks, you'll benefit from a shimmery powder highlighter in a pearly white or shimmery gold. It will reflect light and create the illusion of perfect skin.
To mimic Katherine Heigl's eye makeup, opt for lighter shades of shadow like baby blue, baby pink and soft yellow or gold. Soft eye shadow looks chic on blonds and brunettes, so long as you play up your lashes with loads of black mascara and liner.
For a daytime Katherine Heigl makeup look, choose light-reflecting (translation: shimmery) lipsticks in sheer colors light baby pink, apricot, nude and mauvey brown. If your natural lip color is highly pigmented, apply a layer of foundation to your lips to neutralize them before applying a light shade of lipstick. For night, lips become the focal point of the face with a brilliant shade of cherry red, inspired by Old Hollywood starlets. --Stephanie Simons
My favorite look is probably the second picture with her donning the Marilyn Monroe hair! She looks lovely with the red lipstick <3This comment has been removed.
