With her flaming red hair and flawless complexion, Julianne Moore proved that pale can in fact be beautiful. The stunning actress certainly put her best face forward at the 2012 Golden Globes, with enviable glowing skin, a soft blush, and lashes that were to die for.

To get Julianne’s beauty look, first focus on prepping the skin. Exfoliate and moisturize several hours before the makeup application is to take place. Apply a smoothing face primer prior to foundation application, to fill in fine lines, large pores, and wrinkles. Proceed by applying your foundation of choice to areas of the skin that need coverage. Next, sweep a soft, rosy shade on the cheeks, to add brightness and vigor to your look.

Julianne opted for an eye look that was classic and understated. Start by applying a brightening shadow, in ivory, from the lash line to the brow bone. Apply a dark-grey shade in the crease, lightly smudging the shade into the outer corner of the eye, and below the lash line. Three coats of black mascara finish the look off nicely.

To create Julianne’s soft curls, wash and dry the hair as usual, and then apply a frizz-fighting cream to smooth hair and reduce static. Part hair deeply on the left side, and then section the hair off and curl with a large-barrel curling iron, set to high heat. Allow the curls to cool before gently brushing your fingers through them. Complete the look by misting tresses with a shine or finishing spray, to ensure that your hair looks as vibrant and healthy as Julianne’s.
