How to Get January Jones' Makeup Look

January Jones Makeup
From super mutant hottie to red-carpet beauty, January Jones was spotted looking dazzling in a turquoise eye shadow makeup look at the premiere of “X-Men, First Class.” Pregnancy has only enhanced this blonde’s style. Get the tips on how to wear teal eye shadow à la January Jones.

Turquoise is a hot color this summer and it is an easy one to pull off. Just remember, whenever you are going for a heavier eye makeup look, begin with your eyes. Starting with the eye makeup will prevent fallouts from ruining your face makeup.  To create January’s sexy eye makeup, start out by applying a turquoise shadow to your eyelids and sweep it across from the inner to outer corner. To add depth to your shadow, wet the brush before dipping it in the shadow to create a deeper shade (this will also make your shadow last longer). Practice color with caution – do not sweep shadow up to the brow bone, be sure to only go as high as your crease.

Next, take a shimmery green shadow, apply it on the lower lash line and smudge it to avoid any sharp lines. Take this same green shadow and apply it to the center on your top lid. Blend, blend, and blend! Create a smooth transition between the turquoise and the green colors.  Once you are done with the shadow, clean off any shadow residue that has fallen on your face. Finish the eye makeup by curling the lashes and apply a couple of coats of black mascara.

Apply some foundation to the face using a foundation brush or a sponge. Dab concealer to the under-eye area and on any other imperfections to create a uniform base. Opt for a brighter pink powder blush to compliment the shadow. Finish this January Jones-inspired look with a raspberry colored gloss. -Lina Hanson

That makes sense to do your eye makeup first. I never thought to do that! Whoever this actress is, she's really pretty! This comment has been removed.
