Charlize Theron Makeup and Hair
Find out how to get Charlize Theron hair and makeup
South African native Charlize Theron is the perfect example of a classic beauty. With her latest role as the infamous Evil Queen in Snow White and the Huntsman, the actress’ beauty look seems to have turned to the dark side for inspiration. Keep reading to learn how to get Charlize’s smoky eye and elegant ‘do for your very own.
Smooth, even skin is totally within your reach. Get a flawless, airbrush-quality complexion by using a duo fibre foundation blending brush to apply liquid foundation to the entire face. Paint the product on using short, rounded strokes. Apply just a hint of rose blush to the apples of the cheeks, blending upward toward the temples. Use a soft highlight on the bridge of the nose and on the forehead.
For these show-stopping eyes, start with a primer on the eyelids. Next, apply a soft-gray shadow from the lash line to the crease. Take a thin shadow brush (a pencil-shaped one works best) and dip it into a dark-gray or black shadow. Starting at the outer corner of your eye, proceed to draw an angled line from outer corner to the inner. Adjust the shape to fit the natural curve of your eye, exaggerating the angle slightly at the outer corner of the eye, and underneath the lash line. Follow this up with black liner, smudged into the waterline and the lower lash line. Two coats of volumizing mascara complete the look.
Keep the lips simple, so as not to overwhelm. A soft, nude lipstick is just the thing to add a hint of color.
To get Charlize’s sophisticated updo, fit for a queen, begin by parting your hair on one side, and gathering it at the back of the head. Pin hair in place with bobby pins that match your hair color. Be sure to leave a section of hair at the front of your head free. Once the rest of your hair is in place, twist the front section back toward your ear, to create a rolled-back look. Secure with some strategically placed pins, and then mist with hairspray to ensure strands stay put.
