Celebrities Shine in Shimmery Neutrals at Venice Film Festival

Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts at Venice Film Festival

Cameras were ready to catch the glittery clad celebs walking the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. After a summer full of bright colors including hot pinks, vibrant corals and vivid yellows, celebs are easing into fall in colorless gowns. Blonde beauties Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts opted for nude tones when picking their dresses, but each girl had a distinctive look to set them apart.

Kate glittered in an intricately designed, neutral-toned dress by Atelier Versace. Careful stitching exposed certain spots, but the floor-length gown was classy through and through. Her subtle California glow created a good match for the gown and despite the paler shade, it didn't leave her looking washed out. Kate accessorized with simple gold jewelry, sleek box clutch and satiny heels. Her hair was pulled away from her face in a loose bun and her barely there makeup highlighted her gorgeous skin rather than masking it.

Fashion Police favorite Naomi Watts also went with a creamy shade by donning a feminine Marchesa beige column gown with a lace overlay. The delicate, capped sleeves and gathering at the hem gave the dress a bit of a ‘20’s feel. She accessorized with beautiful, chandelier earrings and crystal cuff. What set her apart the most from Kate’s look is that she wore a dramatic, deep red on both her nails and lips. Her cheeks were flushed with a bright, peach blush creating the perfect complement to her romantic look.

Both Kate and Naomi pulled off strong looks in soft colors and showcased ways to wear neutrals without being boring or seeming too bare. Are you a fan of the looks? Which one do you prefer?
