Crimson lips are unabashedly Catherine. You needn't wear too much color to make a statement, so keep it light-handed. Warm up the look with a bit of gold gloss, applied to the center of your lower lip for a bee stung effect.

To balance dark lips, smoky eyes are essential but brown or black liner tends to be boring. Punch up your palette with a navy blue liquid liner. It's dramatic but infinitely more playful than the usual black or brown suspects.

To get the dramatic eye makeup shown here, sweep on a trio of blue shadows (ranging from light to dark) with a slightly purple-ish hue. The lightest color belongs under the brow bone, the darkest in the crease and the medium tone can be swept on the entire lid. Blend it out seamlessly with a precision eye shadow brush.
