How to do your makeup like Jessica Alba

With her hair worn loose and sexy, she channels a real-life Jessica Rabbit. Key to Jessica Alba's makeup are the right bronzer and warm, luminous colors: think gold eye shadow, tawny lipstick and soft apricot cheeks. You can channel Jessica Alba's bronzed goddess look with these makeup tricks, or try it on in our virtual makeup studio.

To copy Jessica Alba's sun-kissed glow, use a luminizing liquid bronzer on top of your foundation. Apply it with clean fingers to the areas of the face where the sun would naturally hit (forehead, bridge of the nose and above the contours of the cheeks). The alternative? A powder bronzer without shimmer. Flecks of glitter tend to look unnatural in the sunlight. Dust it on the aformentioned features. Use a gold highlighter (gold eye shadow will do the trick) to illuminate your face. Apply a touch to the top of the cheekbones to create drama, after you've put on bronzer.

Jessica Alba's brows are never over-tweezed. Keep magnifying mirrors out of sight while you vow to grow your brows for a solid three to four weeks. While you may not be able to copy Alba's brows, you will be able to score a fuller, more flattering set of arches that frames your face to perfection.

Line the rims of your lower lashes with a white eyeliner pencil and apply a hint of shimmery white eye shadow to the inner corners of the eye (near the tear ducts) for an angelic look. --Stephanie Simons

I believe she's wearing a plum purple color on her lid and a lavendar above that. And for the black liner, it looks like she's using a powder liner as opposed to a pencil (it looks a bit more muted and smoky); the lashes are soft and subtle--maybe just a swipe or two of mascara? I really like her eye makeup...but I don't think the article mentions it: what kind of makeup is she wearing her eyes? This comment has been removed.
