Create an Account / Login

Creating an account is fast and easy. Click the red and white button to "sign me up" here. You have the option to create an account directly on Taaz or you can connect using your Facebook account instead.
Having an account allows you to leave comments, save your makeovers, create your own articles, post deals, ask for advice, and earn charms. Creating an account also allows you to follow other users so that you can view a feed of the latest activity from your favorite people on Taaz.
Yes! Our accounts are entirely free. You can have a profile, make comments, ask and answer questions, add deals, create trends, and save makeovers … all without paying a dime!

Enter your email address (including the “@” symbol) in a text editor (like Notepad or TextEdit), copy it, and paste it into the email field. If you are unable to enter the “@” symbol using your keyboard, you can enter it through a Character Map or by copying and pasting it from a browser.
You may only have one account at a time with your email address. If you want to create a new account, either use a different email address or sign in to your current account and request a deletion (your email will be available again). Please note that when your account is deleted, you will lose all of your saved and uploaded items.

If you did not create an account with your email address, or if you forgot your password for that account, then enter your email address here and follow the instructions in the email to change your password and reclaim the account.
You are free to delete your account at any time. Please remember that deleting your account is a permanent action that deletes all of your saved comments, account photos, makeovers, trends, advice, and deals. This action cannot be undone. To delete your account, sign in and click here.

My Profile

Click on MY PROFILE to build your own profile on Taaz. When you’re signed in, this is the section where you can:
- check your Corner
- read and send private comments
- change your profile photo and other settings
- see and manage all of your content
The Corner keeps you in the loop when it comes to the latest activity from your favorite users. When you’re signed in, The Corner is a running collection of your own activity, the activity of the people you follow, and public messages posted by visitors. If you’re looking at someone else’s corner, you will only see their activity and public messages that were left on their corner.
Hover over the post with your mouse. A white “X” inside of a red circle should appear in the upper right-hand corner of the post. Click this to permanently remove the update from your Corner.
Go to Settings and in the Personal Info tab, uncheck the box in Birth Year, beside “Display my age...” Please note that we do not display birth years and will only display approximate ages (i.e. if you are 34 years old, your age will show as in your "30s").
Once a username is created, it cannot be changed. Your activity is tied to that account and cannot be transferred to a different username. You are welcome to delete your account (this is permanent and deletes everything you’ve done on Taaz) and make a new one.
Sign in to your Taaz account, go to “MY PROFILE” from the navigation bar, and then mouse over your profile photo. In the upper right-hand corner of your photo, the words “Change Photo” should appear. Click on this to select or upload a different photo. You can also change your photo from the Personal Info tab of your Settings .
It’s possible that you were blocked by this user. If you suspect that this is not the case, you can report a bug in our Report a Problem section on the right-hand side of this page.
It’s possible that you were blocked by this user.
Yes. If you block another user, they will be unable to follow you. They can still visit your profile page and see your content in the public galleries, but they will be unable to comment on it and your activity will not display in their Corner.
Your Beauty Profile is a description of your physical appearance and can be filled out in the Beauty Profile tab of your Settings . It allows others to give you more personalized advice and provides context for product recommendations. For example, if you are recommending a daily moisturizer to someone, it helps to know that they have sensitive skin or dry skin.
You can change the way your gender is displayed on TAAZ by signing in, visiting the Beauty Profile section of Settings, and selecting "Male" or "Female".

Makeover

Go to the makeover editor and click the red and white “upload photo” button. Choose a photo from your computer that meets the requirements. If you want to change the color of your current hairstyle, choose a photo with your hair down. If you want to try a different hairstyle (and possibly change the color of that hairstyle, too), choose a photo with your hair pulled back and away from your face. Follow the steps to identify your facial features so that makeup will apply accurately to your photo.
Make sure that you have a photo larger than 200pixels x 200pixels (right-click on your image or view its properties to see its size) that is in one of the following formats: .jpg, .png, or .gif . Go to the makeover editor and click the red and white “upload photo” button. Select your photo from your computer. Follow the steps to identify your facial features so that makeup will apply accurately to your photo.
When you’re editing your makeover, click on “Save Makeover”on the right-hand side. If you’re in the Larger Photo view, this is represented with an orange icon of a diskette. You will be prompted to save to your Taaz profile or to your computer. Click on “save to computer”. The makeover will be saved as “TAAZ-makeover.jpg” in the location that your browser specifies. If you rename your makeover while saving, be sure to add “.jpg” to the end (ie “My_Makeover” should be “My_Makeover.jpg”) so that it saves in .jpg format.
First make sure that the photo you’re using has your hair pulled back and away from the face, so that it can be easily covered with the new hairstyle. To make a style fit better, you can hover over the photo while in the Hair tab until blue dots appear on the hair. Click and drag these blue dots to see the hair move and adjust in real-time. If all hairstyles seem to be off in a similar way, you can adjust the default fit by clicking “Adjust Hair,” then “Adjust Default Fit,” and following the prompt that displays.
Please make sure of the following and then try again:
- your photo is in .jpg, .png, or .gif format
- your photo is larger than 200pixels x 200pixels (right-click on an image or check its properties)
- your browser and network security settings allow you to upload content to the web
You can delete a makeover from your Shared Items page or from your Makeovers page. In your Shared Items, go to the Makeovers tab, select “Delete” next to the makeover you want to delete, and confirm the deletion. To delete from your Makeovers page, click on the makeover you want to delete, select “Delete” in the options beneath it, and confirm the deletion. Please remember that deleting a makeover is a permanent action. If you want to keep your makeover, but remove it from The Gallery and your public Corner, you can change the privacy settings to “Private”.
Our current focus is hairstyles for women. However, as we continue to expand our selection of styles, we will look to your input. If you have a style that you’d like to see for men (or in general), please send the celebrity name or a photo of the style to suggestions@taaz.com.
Please let us know what we’re missing by sending an email to suggestions@taaz.com with a link to, or photo of, the item, style, or color you’d like to see. If you are contacting us on behalf of a brand or salon, please include your business contact.

Deals

Depending on your connection speed and the number of deals being submitted, there may be a slight delay before you see your deal appear in the More Hot Deals gallery. Try refreshing the page in a couple of minutes.
When your deal has an expiration date, and that date passes, the deal will be removed from the gallery. To view or delete this deal, you can manage it from your Shared Items in your profile. If your deal did not have an expiration date or if its expiration date has not yet passed, then review the sort and filter options that you’re using to view deals. It’s possible that your deal dropped down several pages because more deals were posted recently, or your deal was voted as less successful than others.
If the deal that you voted on is very popular, then it will require more people voting in the same direction to shift the % success. If the deal was marked as “New,” then it needs to meet a minimum number of votes before its display changes in the More Hot Deals gallery. Don’t worry, in both situations, your vote was still counted.
It’s possible that you skipped a field or entered too many characters in a field. If you hover over a field that is highlighted in yellow, you should see an error in black appear that explains what you need to change.
To delete a deal that you posted, first sign in to your Taaz account. Click on “MY PROFILE” from the navigation bar and then on “DEALS ADDED” in your STATS section. This is a shortcut to the “Deals” tab of your Shared Items page. Find the deal you want to delete and click “Delete” beside it. When a dialogue asks for you to confirm the deletion, click “Yes” to permanently remove the deal.

Trends

If you aren’t ready to share your trend with everyone, you can save a draft and come back to it later to add your finishing touches. Once you’re signed in to your Taaz account, your draft will automatically be saved as you make changes. You can also save it at any time by clicking the “save” button. Your saved drafts can be accessed from your Shared Items (in the “My Drafts” tab) or in the right-hand section, under “Trends In Progress,” when you submit a trend.
Please check to make sure that your url is from a video on Youtube or Vimeo. Links to playlists on Youtube, videos hosted on sites other than Youtube and Vimeo, and embedding html cannot be attached.
Sorry, there’s not a way to edit already-published material. If this is something you would like to see, please send it to us as a suggestion to suggestions@taaz.com. You are welcome to delete a trend at any time and can do so in your profile, under your Shared Items.
Please review Section 14 (Copyright Dispute Policy) of our Terms of Use and take appropriate action.
Depending on your connection speed and the number of trends being submitted, there may be a slight delay before you see your trend appear in the Beauty & Fashion Trends gallery. Try refreshing the page in a couple of minutes.
Our editors have delved through our archives and pulled out some of their favorite content from users and fellow editors. This content is marked with a special yellow crown symbol so that it’s easier to find.
Only Official Taaz editorial staff can include hyperlinked text. A url entered by any other user will be displayed as the first portion of the url and truncated if it’s too long.
It’s possible that you skipped a field, or entered too many characters in a field. If you hover over a field that is highlighted in yellow, you should see an error in black appear that explains what you need to change.
To delete a trend that you posted, first sign in to your Taaz account. Click on “MY PROFILE” from the navigation bar and then on “TRENDS ADDED” in your STATS section. This is a shortcut to the “Trends” tab of your Shared Items page. Find the trend you want to delete and click “Delete” beside it. When a dialogue asks for you to confirm the deletion, click “Yes” to permanently remove the trend.

Advice

Depending on your connection speed and the number of questions being asked, there may be a slight delay before you see your question appear in the Beauty Advice gallery. Try refreshing the page in a couple of minutes.
Sorry, we don’t support this feature. You can always explain yourself in the “Discuss this question” section.
Your personal Stats section does not take votes into consideration when it calculates your # Questions Answered. To increase your # Questions Answered count, enter helpful advice in the “answer now” section on advice questions.
To delete an advice question that you posted, first sign in to your Taaz account. Click on “MY PROFILE” from the navigation bar and then on “ADVICE ASKED” in your STATS section. This is a shortcut to the “Advice” tab of your Shared Items page. Find the question you want to delete and click “Delete” beside it. When a dialogue asks for you to confirm the deletion, click “Yes” to permanently remove the question.
Sorry, we do not support this feature. To request it, or make a different suggestion, send a message to suggestions@taaz.com.
It’s possible that you skipped a field or entered too many characters in a field. If you hover over a field that is highlighted in yellow, you should see an error in black appear that explains what you need to change.

Conversations

Your profile picture and username will always display with your comments. If you made a comment inside of an expanded thread, your comment will appear at the bottom of the thread. If you made a comment outside of a thread, it is added to the very top of the conversation. If you were replying to someone by clicking “reply”, your comment will create a thread or be placed at the bottom of a thread beneath the post you were replying to.
The page you’re looking at may have many users visiting or commenting heavily at once. Try turning the live feed “Off” and see if you can see your comments sooner.
It’s possible that the owner of the page has blocked you. Blocking prevents specific users from commenting on the owner’s content. If you suspect that this is not the case, you can report a bug in our Report a Problem section on the right-hand side of this page.
Click on “Show Thread” and the full conversation will expand. You can go back to your previous view by clicking “Hide Thread” and “Collapse Conversation”.
The conversation is currently in a “live” mode. You can turn this off by pausing the conversation, which will hide new comments at the top until you’re ready to see them. Click the new comment tally to see the new comments without un-pausing the conversation. You can click the play button to resume the live conversation mode (with real-time comments) at any point.
Sorry, we don’t support this feature yet. To request it, or make a different suggestion, send a message to suggestions@taaz.com.

Privacy

“Private” = Just you. Other people will not be able to see it in your Corner, your Makeovers page, or in The Gallery. If you share the url to your makeover with anyone, they will be able to see your makeover. Attaching your makeover to a trend or advice question/answer will make it viewable to anyone who sees that page since all trends and advice items are public.

“Public” = Everyone. Your makeover will appear in the public view of your Corner, your Makeovers page, and in The Gallery. Anyone who visits Taaz could potentially see your makeover.
We value your privacy and have made it easy to change your photos and makeovers to be "private" at any time. Change Privacy from "Public" to "Private" and then click "save".

When an account is deleted, all of the comments, Deals, Advice questions, Advice answers, Trends, and Makeovers created by that account will also be deleted. Any uploaded photos will also be deleted from the account. No one will be able to register a new account with that username and access to the account will be permanently blocked.
You have the option to display your approximate age or to hide it at any time. No one will be able to see the year that you entered for birth year. By default, everyone who visits your profile or content that you’ve created will be able to see an approximate age (i.e. if you are 34 years old, your age will show as in your “30s”). To hide your age display, go to Settings and, in the Personal Info tab, uncheck the box in Birth Year beside “Display my age...”
