Click on MY PROFILE to build your own profile on Taaz. When you’re signed in, this is the section where you can:
- check your Corner
- read and send private comments
- change your profile photo and other settings
- see and manage all of your content
The Corner keeps you in the loop when it comes to the latest activity from your favorite users. When you’re signed in, The Corner is a running collection of your own activity, the activity of the people you follow, and public messages posted by visitors. If you’re looking at someone else’s corner, you will only see their activity and public messages that were left on their corner.
Go to Settings and in the Personal Info tab, uncheck the box in Birth Year, beside “Display my age...” Please note that we do not display birth years and will only display approximate ages (i.e. if you are 34 years old, your age will show as in your "30s").
Once a username is created, it cannot be changed. Your activity is tied to that account and cannot be transferred to a different username. You are welcome to delete your account (this is permanent and deletes everything you’ve done on Taaz) and make a new one.
Sign in to your Taaz account, go to “MY PROFILE” from the navigation bar, and then mouse over your profile photo. In the upper right-hand corner of your photo, the words “Change Photo” should appear. Click on this to select or upload a different photo. You can also change your photo from the Personal Info tab of your Settings .
It’s possible that you were blocked by this user. If you suspect that this is not the case, you can report a bug in our Report a Problem section on the right-hand side of this page.
It’s possible that you were blocked by this user.
Yes. If you block another user, they will be unable to follow you. They can still visit your profile page and see your content in the public galleries, but they will be unable to comment on it and your activity will not display in their Corner.
Your Beauty Profile is a description of your physical appearance and can be filled out in the Beauty Profile tab of your Settings . It allows others to give you more personalized advice and provides context for product recommendations. For example, if you are recommending a daily moisturizer to someone, it helps to know that they have sensitive skin or dry skin.
You can change the way your gender is displayed on TAAZ by signing in, visiting the Beauty Profile section of Settings, and selecting "Male" or "Female".
Go to the makeover editor and click the red and white “upload photo” button. Choose a photo from your computer that meets the requirements. If you want to change the color of your current hairstyle, choose a photo with your hair down. If you want to try a different hairstyle (and possibly change the color of that hairstyle, too), choose a photo with your hair pulled back and away from your face. Follow the steps to identify your facial features so that makeup will apply accurately to your photo.
Make sure that you have a photo larger than 200pixels x 200pixels (right-click on your image or view its properties to see its size) that is in one of the following formats: .jpg, .png, or .gif . Go to the makeover editor and click the red and white “upload photo” button. Select your photo from your computer. Follow the steps to identify your facial features so that makeup will apply accurately to your photo.
You must be a member to save a makeover, so take a moment to sign in or create an account. When you’re editing your makeover, hover over the button that says "SAVE OR SHARE" above your photo (it's on the far right). A dropdown with options will appear. Select "Save to Computer" from the dropdown. Choose a name and describe your makeover, then click "save". The makeover will be saved as “TAAZ-makeover.jpg” (or the title that you gave your makeover) in the location that your browser specifies. If you rename your makeover while saving, be sure to add “.jpg” to the end (ie “My_Makeover” should be “My_Makeover.jpg”) so that it saves in .jpg format.
First make sure that the photo you’re using has your hair pulled back and away from the face, so that it can be easily covered with the new hairstyle. To make a style fit better, you can hover over the photo while in the Hair tab until blue dots appear on the hair. Click and drag these blue dots to see the hair move and adjust in real-time. If all hairstyles seem to be off in a similar way, you can adjust the default fit by clicking “Adjust Hair,” then “Adjust Default Fit,” and following the prompt that displays.
Please make sure of the following and then try again:
- your photo is in .jpg, .png, or .gif format
- your photo is larger than 200pixels x 200pixels (right-click on an image or check its properties)
- your browser and network security settings allow you to upload content to the web
The problem that you're experiencing is due to a Flash player conflict between the version of Flash installed with the Chrome browser and the Flash installed with your operating system. Not to worry, there's a fix:
1) In your Chrome browser, type "about:plugins" (no spaces) into the address bar, and then press enter. A list of plug-ins will appear.
2) In the right-hand corner of the window, click the label "[+] Details" to expand the details of the files.
3) Look for the entry that has "Flash" in it (usually appears as "Adobe Flash Player").
4)Disable the version of Flash that has "\Chrome\Application\" in the location string (ie C:\Users\MarySue\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\23.0.1271.95\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll ) or appears to be for the Chrome browser and not from your operating system. Do this by clicking the "Disable" link beneath type.
5) Close your Chrome browser.
6) Open your Chrome browser and test to see if things are working better than before.
You can delete a makeover from your Shared Items page or from your Makeovers page. When you save a makeover to your Taaz profile, you select a privacy setting of “Private”, "Limited", or “Public”. These settings can be changed at any time by signing in and clicking on your makeover to edit the details.
“Private” = Just you. Your makeover will not appear in your public Corner, your public Makeovers page, or our Browse Looks gallery. If you share the URL to your makeover with anyone, they will not be able to see your makeover.
"Limited" = Only people who have the URL to your makeover can see it. Your makeover will not appear in your public Corner, your public Makeovers page, or in the Browse Looks gallery.
“Public” = Everyone. Your makeover will appear in the public view of your Corner, your Makeovers page, and in the Browse Looks Gallery. Anyone who visits Taaz could potentially see your makeover.
We value your privacy and have made it easy to change your photos and makeovers to be "private" at any time. Sign in to your account, go to your profile, and find the photo or makeover that you want to change. Click on the image to be able to edit its settings. Change Privacy from "Public" to "Private" and then click "save". If your photo or makeover was appearing in search engine results, please be patient as it will take some time to disappear from search results. If there's a particular image that concerns you, please send the URL for the image and a request to have it removed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Anyone who visits Taaz or finds your article from a search engine will be able to read your articles and advice. If you want to remove a Trend or an Advice question, you can delete it under Shared Items in your profile (when you’re signed in). Comments and Advice answers cannot be deleted unless they are flagged and found to be inappropriate.
When an account is deleted, all of the comments, Advice questions, Advice answers, Trends, and Makeovers created by that account will also be deleted. Any uploaded photos will also be deleted from the account. No one will be able to register a new account with that username and access to the account will be permanently blocked. If your makeovers or content were showing up in search engine results, please be patient while they fall from ranking. This normally takes between a few days and a week. You can speed this process along by contacting the search engine provider and by sending us a link to the content that you would like to have removed. Send this request to email@example.com.
You have the option to display your approximate age or to hide it at any time. No one will be able to see the year that you entered for birth year. To hide your age display, go to Settings and, in the Personal Info tab, uncheck the box in Birth Year beside “Display my age...”
