Safari Makeup LooksEmbrace your animal instinct in hot safari makeup
Playing with makeup requires equal parts instinct and imagination. That being said, one of our most beloved makeup looks for summer takes its inspiration from the wild: the safari girl. As tribal fashions hit stores this season, playing with safari makeup is a great way to capture the huntress spirit, for day or evening. The key to doing safari inspired makeup is sticking with an earth-toned palette and creating a bronze glow allover. Try on safari makeup in our virtual makeup studio. On eyes, try a combo of olive green and gold shadow to create a lightly smoky look. Layer the colors to create a gilded effect and brush a bit of gold shadow into your brows as a finishing touch. Take the animal print theme to the extreme with ColorOn’s Eye Envy press-on eye shadows in zebra stripes or leopard spots. Simply wild. Create a canvas that looks entirely natural using only concealer to spot-cover blemishes and under eye circles. Apply powder bronzer strategically to the temples, outer parts of the forehead and bridge of the nose (where the sun would naturally hit your face). Sculpt killer cheekbones by blending a brown cream blush under the cheekbones and extend the line to the eye and temple, reaching just beyond the eyebrows. Go over this with bronzer, applied with a fluffy brush. Highlight the tops of your cheeks and your temples for a look that’s fresh, never muddy. To look the part of a sultry safari girl, give the lips classic bee-stung sexiness by applying a sheer peach or beige-pink lipstick with your finger and top it off with gold gloss in the center of both the upper and lower lips. For sexy safari hair, try a low slung ponytail, pulled to one side and accessorize with a band strung with wooden beads or strips of distressed leather that look like exotic animal skins. If you wear your hair down, opt for a loose, wavy style that’s slightly animalistic. GET THE LOOK BY UPLOADING YOUR PHOTO TO TAAZ
