Living Barbies (okay, they were really runway models) were the highlight of New York Fashion Week 2008. The iconic doll is inarguably one of the greatest style icons of all time, and we're sure we'll be paying homage to her with a killer Halloween costume this year (time to break out the pink convertible and meet a living Ken Doll in time for the big event). Although you'll never be able to copy her impossibly perfect measurements (might we remind you that her form is highly exaggerated and not to be mimicked in real life), you can copy Barbie's makeup and hairstyles in a pinch. To get the quintessential Barbie look, go platinum blond. Of course, there are a variety of exotic Barbie dolls that also exist, many of them with gorgeous dark skin and hair..

Opt for full strips of false lashes to get a fluttery look that would make Ken weak in the knees. For precision, apply them with tweezers while looking downward into a mirror. You can peel them off and reuse them a few times by stashing them on a piece of plastic or a credit card.

Channel the original Barbie circa 1950s with ruby red lips and black liquid eyeliner winged at the outer corners of the eyes, or go full-throttle Malibu Barbie with flushed cherry cheeks and mauve or pink eye shadow.
