For eyes, add texture with a smoky grey or purple shadow across the entire lid, which conjures dark, stormy skies on the high seas, where lady pirates spend most of their time bootlegging.

Blend a darker shade of shadow into your crease for a smoldering finish. In lieu of a clichéd eye patch or even eyeliner, you can draw a gold, glittery stripe that travels down the center of one eye, from the top of the forehead to the middle of your cheek (use an eyeshadow brush for precision). You can also use the same process to create an “x” over one eye, to mark the spot. Finish the look by applying a rum-colored gloss to your pout.
