Fade Your FrecklesHow to fade your freckles
Those of us with uneven melanin in our skin can look forward to a smattering of new freckles, a.k.a. sun kisses, every summer. Freckles lend a woman’s face youthful, outdoorsy beauty and they are nothing short of fabulous (don't you forget it). No matter how cute they are, many women believe that an even tone is the hallmark of beautiful skin—in fact, that's what most women desire when they wear even the sheerest foundation. Wearing sunscreen is not only the key to preserving a youthful-looking face, but it keeps freckles, melasma and other sun-induced splotches at bay. If you don't like traditional liquid sunscreen formulations, opt for one in powder or towelette form. FYI: brightening treatments, best applied in the evening, will help to decrease the speckle-effect so you can go without the spackle. A topical antioxidant like vitamin C serum also works to naturally brighten and lighten the skin. If you opt to hide freckles with makeup, your best bet is a medium coverage foundation that is a bit darker than your skin tone. Freckles give the face color and wearing a foundation that is too light can make you appear pasty or washed out. --Stephanie Simons TRY ON MAKEUP BY UPLOADING A PHOTO TO TAAZ
