What To Wear On A DateDate makeup looks he'll loveWhether you're single, married or stuck somewhere in between with a boyfriend who won't totally commit (insert dramatic sigh), the question inevitably arises: What to wear on a date? We've assembled a list of date makeup looks for any occasion, from sporty makeup to all-out trendy. Try on date makeup in our virtual makeup studio. Casual Date MakeupIf he's a low-key kinda guy who insists on taking you to lunch, coffee or a sporting event, he wants to see the real you. Go for a "no makeup" look, which can often take as much effort as a dramatic one. To get this casual date look, apply tinted moisturizer and blend it well, taking care to inspect your makeup in the daylight before leaving the house. Add a pop of color to your cheeks with a gel or cream blush that mimics the natural hue you get in your cheeks after working up a sweat on the treadmill. Keep your lip color natural: skip the lip liner and apply a hint of gloss in the center of your lower lip. Eyeliner should aslo be subtle and be sure to make sure your mascara isn't clumpy. Eliminate clumps with an eyelash comb or a clean, dry toothbrush. Romantic Date MakeupIf a romantic dinner date is going to be followed by drinks and dancing, make expressive eyes the focal point of your face. Get flirty lashes by working liquid liner into the underside of your lashes with a flat head eyeliner brush. Sweep a chocolate brown or gunmetal grey shadow onto the crease. Dust your lashes with loose powder before applying mascara to give mascara more to adhere to, creating the illusion of added volume and length much like a lash primer. Apply foundation and powder blush for staying power. Keep your T-zone in check all night by toting blotting papers in your clutch. Light lips make this evening makeup look ultra-kissable. Baby pink or nude will keep the focus on your eyes. Trendy Date MakeupIf he's an artistic type who has planned an evening around a fashion show, art museum exhibit or nightclub opening, get creative with your makeup. Play up your lips with fierce color (think red or even magenta), but keep the look matte. If you are completely confident, skip eyeliner or even mascara for a totally modern or funky effect. --Stephanie Simons GET THE LOOK BY UPLOADING A PHOTO TO TAAZ |
