Blow Dry For Smooth HairHow to smooth hair with a blow dryer for salon quality results
Ever notice how professional hairstylists wield their hair dryers like cowpoke straight out of the wild west? They operate swiftly and always manage to tame the hair just so. The attempts you make at home are undoubtedly a lot less suave, since holding a blow dryer and round brush in both hands feels awkward. Here's how to blow dry for smooth, salon-quality results. Try on full-bodied, blow dried hairstyles in our virtual hairstyling studio. Blow Dry Like A ProBlow Dry Step 1 Blowdryer in hand, begin by focusing on the back of your head (this is where professional stylists start), lifting hair at the root with your fingers and concentrating on drying the roots thoroughly. Blow Dry Step 2 When the roots are dry, part hair down the middle all the way down the back of your scalp (as if you were going to make pigtails) and push these two large sections of hair toward your face. Aim the blow dryer down the shaft of hair and brush toward the face, using a wide paddle brush to smooth the hair. Blow Dry Step 3 Remove the center part and continue to brush and blow dry your hair, alternating arms regularly, and moving the paddle brush in the opposite direction of hair growth to achieve volume. --Stephanie Simons TRY ON HAIRSTYLES BY UPLOADING A PHOTO TO TAAZ |
