Are vitamin a or retinol creams safe to use?
I’m beginning to notice how some areas of my face are lighter/darker. My friend recommended that I try a retinol or vit A cream. However, I read that they can cause redness and sun sensitivity. I’m in the sun a lot, and usually wear sunscreen. But I thought that I’d ask you gals on Taaz what you think and if you could recommend one for me. Thanks!

I use a retinol cream that I purchase from my Dermatologist. I've been using it for about 2 years now. I can use it every night if I use just a "pea" size amount. Sometimes I notice some drying/peeling in areas and when I see that I switch to every other night for a few nights. I did have a burning feeling on my cheeks a few times when I used too much. Just make sure to use a very small amount! As far as the sun, just make sure you are using an SPF 30 and you should be fine. The one I have is from OBAGI Medical and it's Tretinoin Cream 0.05%. I strongly recommend a retinol cream! It really is the best thing for spots, wrinkles, pores, evenness, etc....I've noticed a big difference in my skin!
