What are some errands we do every week? Im writing a story. I need 2 characters to meet unexpectedly

I am writing a story with my friend. We want two characters (potentially falling in love) to meet unexpectedly. That way, when they see eachother later in the story, they will recognize eachother. I was thinking of having them go to the store and both want the last bottle of mountain dew or something (lame, I know). I'd like something more than just bumping into eachother, so that they remember it later on, but not such an arguement to where it becomes a problem in the story. Any suggestions?
