Look at your wrists. If your veins appear blue, you have a cool undertone. If they appear more of a green, then you have a warm undertone. You can always wear a neutral and be right-and 80% of the population are considered to be medium in skin color. If you go with a mineral powder foundation, and it isn't your exact shade, it generally doesn't matter, and will look fine. It's when you're wearing liquid foundation, that the color has to be an exact match or it leaves a line.
