powder vs liquid foundation? which one do you suggest for combination acne prone skin?
asked
I have combination skin (dry on my nose oily on my forehead and cheeks and I am prone to acne. I have always used liquid foundation but i noticed that it does tend to make my face shiny after wearing it all day, especially in the summer. Lately i have been wearing a concealer and a light brushing of pressed powder which seems to be working fine but is this bad for my type of skin?

I would suggest mineral makeup foundation to you. However, not all mineral makeup is the same quality. Some of them grind the minerals so small-called nano particles-that they can get lodged in the pores and clog them & they can pose an inhalation danger. One that is safe:

You can certainly use liquid foundation, just make sure it's suitable for your skin type. You might want to try one that stays on all day.....Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and Maybelline SuperStay would be good choices for your skin type. I would also suggest a foundation primer to help your foundation stay on. BareMinerals is a really great mineral foundation that would be nice for your skin too. Try carrying some oil blotting papers for touch-ups....Clean and Clear Oil Blotting Papers are great.
