I think you should wait for a few years until wearing makeup. It is bad for your skin. Your skin is still young and perfect with no imperfections, so you have to take care of it. If you want to wear makeup and don't wanna listen to your mom, then start wearing it, but you'll have problems with mom and your skin. Maybe you think you won't, but look at your skin for about 5 years then, you will actually look like your grandma, because of powder and all of that stuff. Talk to your mom and try to convience her, that you could wear makeup only on special occasions, but not too much, cause you'll look fake. If you really can't go from house without any makeup, then tell her, if you can wear just mascara, cause it's not so harmful for your young skin, little blush and lipgloss. Anyway, you will have a lot of time, when you get older to wear little more makeup :-) I hope I helped you*

Actually, I'd say you're a bit young to wear makeup. I'm almost 15, and I don't even wear makeup often. I mean I'm allowe to but it's really unneccessary when you're that young. Play around with it a bit, mess around, but you really don't need to be wearing it every day. Do you really need to? At least wait until the end of junior high, or high school or something.

I think your age is like the experimenting time, when you play around with lip colours and learn to apply, but definitely not to wear out in public. Sure, mess around and have fun with weird and bright colours like green and hot pink, but no wearing out or anything.

You have plenty of time to start wearing makeup. I was a "late bloomer" and didn't really start wearing makeup that much until I was 16. Be good to your skin and get an idea of what you like first.

you can try tinted moisturizer & tinted lip balm. when your mother noticed it, just tell that IT'S NOT MAKE-UP MOM, ITS THE MOISTURIZERS(lipbalm included) =)

Buy a tinted lipbalm with SPF in it. Put it in your backpack, & put it on at school.

Eleven is very young to start. Thirteen is a good age to begin and then you should do so gradually. Talk to your mother and listen to her reasons. She is more than likely trying to protect you.

Honestly, makeup should be used to enhance your features - cover a break out, add color to eyes, cheeks, lips, and not to cover everything up. What do you want to wear? My mom never wanted me to wear makeup when I was in my teens, and now I appreciate her doing so because I learned to love and accept myself au natural. Also at your age, you don't need a lot of makeup, but I can understand how a little makeup would be fun :) Maybe you could show her pictures of what you'd like your makeup to look like, so she doesn't think that you're just going to put on lots of black eyeliner and mascara on.

A little gloss and blush never hurt, but it's always best to listen to someone who has your best interest at heart.
Don't rush it, enjoy being natural while you can still get away with it ;)
