You might be getting too much mascara on your brush at once. Don't pump the brush, just one simple pull out of the tube should have enough color to deposit onto your lashes. Try another mascara brand, Maybelline Great Lash is always a great choice. Curling the eyelashes first works for me and wiggling the wand up through the lashes helps for more even coverage.

eyelash comb, but if it's clumpy as it comes out and you put it on, then you need some fresh mascara!

for me i always keep the brush of my old mascara and clean it. so when i do apply mascara and it clumps then i use the old clean mascara brush and comb the lashes out which helps it from clumping.
Does the trick for me and its inexpensive!!!
so when u do throw ur old mascara away be sure to keep the mascara brush its a good tool.

It sounds like you need to replace your mascara. You need to be tossing them every 2-3 months; even if they're not empty. You have to avoid pumping air into it, as you're getting the mascara out. Wiggle the wand from side to side, rather than pumping it up & down which just dries it. You should also be using a eyelash comb to comb through your eyelashes after applying mascara. You can get one at the drugstore.
