Are you using regular hand/bath soap? if so, it might be too drying/harsh to be used on the face, and especially the eyes. I'd get a makeup remover and follow up with a gentle face wash.

Yeah soap is really harsh on facial skin, and it actually takes longer and burns in comparison to a gentle makeup remover. You can also use a gentle lotion for the face or body to remove.

I would not use soap and water for eye makeup....too harsh and will sting your eyes. Try a gentle eye makeup remover.....my favorite is Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover.

I'ts absolutly not good with soap around your eyes. The skin is very sensitive there, and it's mutch better to use a makeup-remover with oil, couse it's not added parfume. nd they are not that excpencive.

Soap & water is not good for this purpose. The best, cheapest thing to use, would be unscented baby wipes.

Soap is really bad for your skin! Get makeup remover, or if that's too much of a hassle, a lot of facial cleansers can double as makeup removers, too. (:

Don't use soap and water, it will dry out your skin and make you break out, the skin on your face is different from your body.

Use face cleanser...and baby oil..works like a charm.

It may irritate your eyes if you do it with soap, Try putting baby oil or virgin olive oil in a cotton pad to remove the extra mascara difficult to remove.
