How can i make my face look . . . smaller?

asked
Hello experts. I have a question and it would mean a lot to me if you could take the time and answer it. Well, I'm kind of, you could say . .. Fat! And I have a round, a little oily face. What I want to know is that, what makeup would make my face look smaller ? I have black hair, dark brown eyes (not too small, not too big) and black eyebrows.

Thanks alot,
Katie

You can use bronzer on the sides of your face to make it look smaller, and you can also change your hairstyle to do it as well. I think longer layers help to elongate the face.

It's all about the contouring! I'd look at the tutorials on youtube...they're really helpful. It's really just creating the right illusion and your face will look slimmer.

Thanks everyone for your great advice! They were all very helpful. Although, I have a long way to master contouring, but I think I got the basics and need to exercise.

Everyone has the right idea with contouring, that's what I suggest. As for the oily skin, I suggest always having daily facial wipes in your bag to dab at any extra oil buildup during the day.

I attached two images taken at Empire Academy of Makeup when I first started doing makeup.(and at the moment is the only B and A images I can find)
Notice that you can't specifically see the highlight and contour because they are blended. When you look at the two images side by side you can really see how the makeup made an optical illusion and slimmed her face. Most was done through contour and highlight.
