I think a tad bit darker would look better on you than a tad bit lighter. I would go for a light chestnut option while leaving out a few pieces of the blond to achieve contrast an dimension.

do not go black, your skin tone wont suit it.
an auburn brown would look great
or a dark brown with 1 or 2 blonde streaks like rihanna at the MTV awards in 2009 in her pink gown
