I recently got straight across bangs, and I'm still planning to color my hair quite a bit lighter, but do I look too fake??

You look really good in both options. If you desire to go lighter I would break it up with a warm medium brown to add contrast and detention. This will help to soften the "fakeness" of the solid bright blond. This comment has been removed.
