You may want to invest in a ceramic iron that gives off positive ions. Using a good leave in and serum is also very helpful! Make sure to go over each section a few times so that the smoothness is really sealed in. Your hair shouldn't be reverting to curls after you straighten. I often straighten my hair and am a frequent twirler as well. My hair never goes back to curl of frizz because I make sure to really press it down while flat ironing.
