I have thick and curly hair. When i get up in the mornings, if I don't have my bangs clipped up, they are messed up when I wake up. What should I do?

Unfortunately those of us who are blessed with thicker heads of hair with any texture in it at all definitely are required to do much more styling than those who aren't. Styling products and a styling regimen are key here. Try using taming products with serums in them that really help to close the cuticle down allowing the hair to lay more unruly than normal. You can also try wrapping your hair before bed so that it doesn't get too tousled in your sleep. Brush your hair foreword beginning from the natural parting (after styling products are applied) and continue to brush it all in a round motion, following the curve of your head. Once you have molded all the hair to the heads curvature, secure with a head scarf and bobby pins. Normally a silk head scarf is best for this as the fibers help to control and smooth the hair down.
