I think either is totally fine. Yes, a longer dress is traditional but I think more and more women are choosing to add in their own style. And depending on where the wedding is can make a difference as well. I think a wedding dress should be the most perfect dress you ever would dream to wear. If that means short, long, in between doesn't really matter as long as you feel fab! ;)

Longer is more...well...princessy! :) I'm a fan of the timeless long dress, as Sir_Slicer so nicely put it. But above all, it's the brides big day! :) whatever makes her feel like a princess for her perfect wedding and Prince Charming. :)

I think long dresses are more timeless. This is especially true for something that you're only going to wear once, and then break it out 10yrs and 20lbs later. I'm thinking future you is going to be happy to have a little less leg showing.

I'd prefer a long dress but i've seen shorter wedding dresses for summer weddings and as long as they're not too short they're alright.

I think for the official walk down the aisle the brides dress should be long. But for the reception a short dress is fun and sexy.
